This morning we ate at the dining room for breakfast. Service was pretty quick which was nice. The buffet is very nice also. This ship has made to order Eggs Benedict at the omelet station which we've never seen on Princess and the coffee is very good too. Princess serves syrup coffee everywhere except the coffee bar, but this ship serves Lavazza coffee and there are bits of grounds in it even in the big self service urns.
The rest of the day was spent wandering, reading and watching a movie in the cabin: Lean on Pete. They also have pay per view movies, but at $15 each, that seems a little much. The seas were a bit high until mid afternoon and several people took to their beds, but we were fine. Had lunch with 2 women (mother/daughter?) from England who were a real hoot. They kept us all enthralled with tales of their recent tour of India. And it appears we may have a fixed table for dinner now. Ann and Jeff (from Wales) came again even though they are supposed to be Anytime diners to bring us up to fill the 8 seats. The food and the service are very good. Our only slight complaint is that the tables are very close together, but that is more a problem for the serving staff.
After dinner we went to the show, Pearl, a production by the ship's entertainment staff. It was OK, but again too loud, uncomfortably so at times. Both times in the theatre we sat up high under the overhang near speakers. I think we'll try down below where it's more open and see if it's still too loud.
