July 7 All Aboard

Sleeping was difficult due to the heat, but we had a laugh filled breakfast with Peter and Carol before saying farewell. The finals for World Cup are going on and England is playing Sweden today, so they were off to a barbecue with friends to watch. It's a nearly 3 hour drive home for them so we were especially delighted that they came to see us.

Then it was off to the ship, the Celebrity Silhouette.  This is a new cruise line for us, so we'll be anxious to see how we like it.  Check in went  very smoothly and we were on board by 11:30.  We really like this ship.  It's elegant without being stuffy.  Our balcony cabin is a nice size and the bathroom is large and laid out very well.

We had dinner with our new tablemates, Maureen and Ray from England, and June and Patrick from Australia.  There are two more places at the table, so maybe there will be 8 of us. Seems like it will be a good group.  The food was very good, lots of good choices and on the every day menu they have French onion soup and escargot.

After dinner, it was back to the cabin for a little TV and bed.  We still are not quite over the jet lag.  Tomorrow is Zeebrugge.
