July 17 At Sea

We tried the show again last night and once again found it too loud. I feel like I'm becoming an old curmudgeon but when it hurts my ears, I can't enjoy it.

This was another lazy day, recuperating from the three strenuous days in "St. Petes". Lounged by the quiet pool in the morning, read and people watched after lunch.  We took advantage of the laundry "deal" of stuff the paper laundry bag full for $40.  That sounds like a ridiculous amount of money, but the individual prices are $7 for pants and $6 for shirts, so we stuffed away.  One thing I don't like is that there is no self service laundry room.  Fortunately we started with a $300 onboard credit so it won't hurt in the end. Michael's doctor visit ate up $160. The gum pain ended quickly after starting the antibiotics but the course was for 7 days.  He's looking forward to having wine with dinner again tomorrow.  Our beverage waiter at dinner recommended he try Bailey's and Cointreau mixed so he's ready to give that a try also after tonight's last pill.
